OECD: Russia’s economic activity falls to 91.3 in April
MOSCOW, May 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Composite Leading Indicators, which measure economic activity, fell to 91.3 points in April from 98.3 points in March, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) said in a report on Wednesday.
The indicator points to the possibility of a sharp slowdown in the country’s economic activity.
The majority of the world’s largest economies experienced unprecedented contraction in economic activities in April due to the coronavirus pandemic and measures that were imposed to slow down the spread of the virus. China is an exemption this month as it is already restoring its economic activity after the epidemic, the OECD said.
